2026- The Return of the
Well, it was like this:
The Dollmaker kept trying to pay Judy for her
Ticket to the Astros Baseball Game...
But then...
So, Three New Tuxedo Cats were made-
(the Dollmaker likes to do things in threes...)
The Ladies decided to meet at the new shop in town:
Faire la Nouba..
and it was a Hard Choice...
(drum roll, please...)

She picked Cat #3 (not knowing that it was the Dollmaker's own Favorite!)

The other two Tuxedo Troublemakers
will undoubtedly be present and playing innocent at
the Texas Renaissance Festival in October.

Potato Vines reaching the top of the arbor in a week...
Just ordinary Miracles...
The real Miracle is
in the Acknowledgement of the Miracle.
Local Artist, Kathleen Claps, a friend of the Dollmaker,
exhibited her paintings this month in the new shop in town:

Kathleen's World of Flora and Fauna:
The Dollmaker just loves that Kathleen takes her inspiration
from her YARD!
Feral Cats, Feral Chickens and Grass Burrs dominate the Landscape..
So Kathleen admits and even celebrates
"her tendency to admire beautiful and troublesome things!"

in Downtown Smithville.

Weaving individual threads into
a much stronger, unified fabric.

Cooperation
is aligned with our highest good

When hands unite and voices blend,
And common goals our efforts send
A quiet magic starts to spark,
That lights the way through any
dark.
No single star outshines the night,
But galaxies create the light.
When we align and share the load,
We smooth the bumps along the road.
The highest good is found in grace
Where every soul can find their place.
In giving room and lending aid,
A masterpiece of peace is made.
For one plus one is more than two,
When what we seek is just and true.
In step with all that we can be,
We build a better destiny.
Another good friend left the planet...
a Tribute to Stephen Bennett
Rest in Intriguing, Tantalizing, Exhilarating Peace Mr. B
A dear old friend has moved on...
Stephen Bennett- Mr. B. What a guy he was.
The Dollmaker feels so blessed to have known him-
On Saturday nights they got together
preparing pasta dinners (heavy on the garlic) at his pottery shoppe
when he would explain interminably about the variations in wines,
afterwards playing amusingly raunchy songs on the guitar...
They had long philosophical talks discussing the writings of Gurdjieff and Ram Dass,
and she listened to many stories about the origins of Renfests and Hippies in California-
Her daughter, Shannon, would excavate his pottery from the creek bed
he had a habit of tossing unwanted pots, bowls, mugs etc.. over the porch railing...
She still has those pots- (and- even though rejected, they are all signed! lol)
The Dollmaker bought a Star Cream jar every year- and she will never part with those jars...
He was grumpy and fascinating- and fun- and his carrot juice was Legend.
So sad to know that she will never see him again-
but he was a good friend during her 20 years at Scarborough Faire.
He's probably smiling that big old smile right now,
as we turn our attention toward him.
And she feels sure he's enjoying the Non-physical. Loving it, no doubt.
The Dollmaker raises a glass of wine
to the memory of one of the most remarkable friends of a lifetime.
